Favorite books: Richard Carlson, PH.D, Don't Sweat The Small Stuff… Series; Thrasher & Madelon, "Smart Women" A book written by two smart Canadian women, with Canadian women, about smart Canadian Woman, and mother is one of them! Mother was approached by the authors for her contributions on her success as a business women. Mother shares some of her philosophies on success as an entrepreneur.

Favorite Daytime Talk Show: Oprah - Mom also had the opportunity to be in the audience for the making of an Oprah program. An experience that she will always remember.

Favorite Comedy: Nutty Professor Two

Favorite Game: Bridge, with her close friends, who often have "marathons"

Enjoys retirement by surfing the net, knitting, reading, golfing and socializing with her friends and family.

Born at Glenavon, Saskatchewan. Mom is number 5 of 9 siblings. Her maiden name is Crapley. Mom grew up on Maple Street in Moose Jaw. Her sister, Pat, maintains the homestead. Mom attended high school at Moose Jaw Technical High School.

Mom's early career started out at the Coop Creamery & Canaday's Apparel in Moose Jaw. Donna married and had two children Brent, now 43. Rhonda, age 41. The family moved to Swift Current in 1968. Mom began her career there with the Swift Current Union Hospital and the Southwest Regional Hospital Council. While working there, Mom began her studies preparing for her career change into Real Estate. Her first job as a realtor was so exciting! She worked for City & Country Real Estate. She later joined the Realty World franchise. While there she began preparations to launch her own Real Estate firm. She soon became known as Broker-Owner of Accord Agencies. Mom worked hard, and upgraded her education in Real estate. Achieving her FRI designation. Mom eventually took on a franchise of Coldwell Banker, and her business flourished. Mom achieved numerous awards for achievements in real estate. Mother was an active member on the Real Estate Board having served as a director and as president of the local board twice and as director on the provincial association. She was also very involved with the local Chamber of Commerce in Swift Current, serving as director for many years and in 1984, she served as its first female president. As Mom approached age 65 she decided to sell out and retire. She now enjoys a healthy, well-balanced life style with her friends and family.
